How Sensors Work

Pulse IoT100 sensors are embedded alongside reinforcement within the concrete cover to continuously monitor corrosion activity and durability conditions inside the structure. By measuring electrochemical potential differences between embedded steel elements, the system detects early corrosion processes long before visible deterioration appears.

The sensors are strategically positioned on the outer reinforcement layer to capture conditions within the concrete cover where corrosion of reinforcement typically initiates due to chloride ingress or carbonation. Data collected from the sensors is transmitted through surface-mounted acquisition units to the Pulse monitoring platform, where it is stored, visualized, and analyzed to provide engineers with continuous insights into asset durability and structural condition.

How Sensors Work

From Installation to Actionable Insights

01

Deploy Sensors
